APA’s Recent Findings: Abortion Does Not Increase Risk to Women’s Mental Health
Sioux Falls, SD – The American Psychological Association released a task force report examining the relationship between women’s mental health and abortion. The task force evaluated all empirical studies published in English-language peer-reviewed journals since 1989 comparing the mental health of women who had an induced abortion to the mental health of comparison groups of women. It also included studies that examined factors that predict mental health among women who have had an elective abortion.

Campaign Against Another Abortion Ban Kicking Off Summer Canvassing in Rapid City

Voters Surprised, Dismayed To Learn of Repeat Measure Banning Abortion
Sioux Falls, SD – The South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families kicked off their summer canvassing effort today, going door-to-door to educate voters about activists’ second, consecutive attempt to ban abortion in South Dakota. By the substantial margin of 56 to 44, voters rejected a similar ban in 2006.
