    The editorial board writes, “Regardless of the reworked allowables presented in this measure (rape, incest, mother’s health/life), we believe that Measure 11, at its base level, still intrudes where it shouldn’t: government intervention in a supremely personal decision.     SDCHF Statement In Response To Glenn Ridder’s Comments On KSFY

    Following the release of the South Dakota Campaign For Healthy Families’ first television advertisement, last night KSFY aired a story about the ad during their 10:00pm newscast that featured Chris and Tiffany Campbell and Glenn Ridder.  During the broadcast, Ridder first stated that, “I don’t know what procedure was done for this young lady..” before going on to criticize the Campbells for the decision they made to abort one of their twins to save the life of their son Brady.  He said, “If it’s someone’s advice to kill your own offspring, that doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

    “I thought we decided on this.”

    The grassroots is what it is all about at the South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families.  Since July, we have been wearing the soles of our shoes thin, and the keypads on our phones out, asking voters to read the fine print of Measure 11.  But it’s worth it.
